Story
Cheers for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those who don’t already know I’ll be taking part in the Yorkshire Marathon on Sunday 12th October (No need to worry Paula, they'll be no records broken!). This is my personal challenge for 2014 and to be honest the training has been gruelling. (I have the manky permanent blood blister to prove it). Anyway....
I am extremely proud to have the opportunity to try and raise funds for a charity that is close to my heart.
Sam is my son James's friend and has Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. He was diagnosed at 4 months old. He has tumours in his eyes, brain and kidneys and also suffers with epilepsy, learning delay and polysistic kidney disease as a result of his TSC.
Despite all of this he is a happy, active kid and loves playing football and horse riding.
The TSA have been a great support to Sam's family and are currently researching into a cure for this cruel disease. They are conducting research into the potential benefits of a drug called evirolimus which can improve the quality of life for children like Sam.
This is a very small charity because of the rarity of this disease and anything you could spare will help towards funding life changing research.
Thank you so much – I’m not nervous or anything.... gulp!!
Love Jules x
