Story
Summer’s here, I'm helping GAAP Orphanage Foundation support orphans and abandoned children in Africa get through these challenging times by collectively cycling 2,000 km to raise over £5,000.
Last Christmas, we fed over 200 orphaned kids, and we felt the need to help feed more because of Covid-19. The money we raise will be used to provide food, access to clean water, hand sanitisers, and PPE. It will also help us to ship more books, toys and clothing to Africa; we recently sent 25 large packages. If you're passionate about helping us to help keep children safe and supported during the pandemic, you can help in 2 ways:
1. Please support our cycling challenge by clicking the JustGiving donate button. For every £1 donated, we endeavour to collectively cover an equivalent kilometre!
2. If you're a keen cyclist and would like to set up your own JustGiving page to help GAAP fundraise, please call 07949 885710 and we'll help you get started.
We are a non-for-profit organisation; 100% of your donation will go to the kids.
As a thank you, for giving to this fantastic cause GAAP will give you a free music download of 'Unity' - the salsa charity song co-written by Doug Elom, Neal McCleod and Alex Wilson, featuring Bayo Elom and AQuilla Fearon.
To receive your free copy of 'Unity', please email party@djterryjlewis.com after making your donation with Tour de GAAP as the subject, and we'll reply attaching your song.
Finally, please Gift Aid your donation! It's a scheme which allows charities to claim from HMRC, the basic rate of tax their donors have paid. Gift Aid will increases the value of your donation by 25%, so it means even more money goes to the cause you care about – and it won't cost you extra.
Thanks for your support!
