Julie & Janette's John o Groats to home

John o Groats to home · 12 February 2016
first day done! Short one today, to let us get organised and along to the start so 40 undulating and windy (!) miles to Dunbeath. Sadly the app let me post photos though.
Welcome to my JustGiving page.
As some of you will know my cycling sister , Janette Dylan, lost her brother, John, to MS at the age of just 40 and is raising money for the MS Society by riding the length of the UK from John o Groats to Lands End in May.
I've not got the time to do it all with her but I've agreed to keep her company riding the first half through my homeland and "The North". It's 500 miles, so it's still quite far really!
On the way we'll be visiting my dad's grave in Kirkcaldy, this year marking 20years since he passed away and I'm pretty sure he would approve of this adventure!
Although not as badly affected as Janette's brother we've had experience of MS in our family too. My grandmother suffered from it for many years and one of my cousins, Stephanie, also suffers from the condition.
We will be doing this trip unsupported, (with our stuff in panniers, how scary is that!) and are funding the trip ourselves. Please make it worth our while by sponsoring me
