My younger sister Sally, who is just 49,  was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, which you contract from exposure to asbestos, in August 2018.  At the same time she was told she also has breast cancer. A year on, Sal has made excellent progress, battling this dreadful disease. She's had three operations, (one was six hours long) and is now on her second programme of chemotherapy. 

I just wanted to do SOMETHING to help. By having my hair cut and donating it to the Little Princess Trust, (which makes wigs from real hair for children who lose their hair), I feel like I might have made a difference to someone. By asking you to sponsor me, the money we raise together will be used for essential research into a cure  for mesothelioma.  It will also be used to pay for essential nursing and support staff for people like Sal and their families to help them deal with this life-changing illness.
