Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in aid of Guillain Barre Syndrome

I am really hoping you can all help and support me in rasing money and awareness for this terrible illness.  Last year Dominc (my eldest son) was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome and Pneumonia, he spent 20 weeks in hospital and is still having physio to learn to walk again.  This illness is a terrible thing and more research needs to be done to prevent it happening to others.  The G.B.S. support group has been a great help for me and my family during this upsetting and stressful time, so I would like to do something to help them.  I am hoping to do lots of fundraising but to start with I am doing this sponsored slim.  My goal is to loose 3 stone (before the year is out or before if possible) starting from 1st February 2013, where I will be needing lots of encouragement but more importantly donations.  It doesnt matter how much or little you can donate - every bit will help so please please please will you sponser me for this great cause? You can either sponsor per pound I loose or for a total amount ie each stone etc. I have set up this page but also have a paper style sponsor form if you would prefer to do it that way.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

I am sorry to all who have sponsored me but I havnt met my target.  I only managed to loose a stone and a half due to depression and change in medication.  I feel I have let everyone down - Dom, GBS and all those who took the time to sponsor and believe in me.  I am going to keep going until I loose 3 stone and hope you will continue to support me
