Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been a nurse for almost 38 years and had the privilege to care for many patients  and there loved ones at the end of their lives.  It’s so important to make that journey the best it can be. Laughter and tears but special memories are kept by those left behind. 

I also my wonderful Dad was cared for in the IPU by the fantastic staff. We as a family were encouraged to spend time with him and my children were supported. 

I have wanted to set my self a challenge and saw the trek advertised and went along to the information evening. Although I’m rather nervous having recently met the team who are going I’m feeling really excited about it.
