Welcome to our #TeamDementiaUK campaign for the Great North Run 2021! We have a huge team of amazing supporters who will be stepping over the start line in September all to support Dementia UK and our wonderful Admiral Nurses.

Story

I'm taking part in the Brighton Marathon 2021 to support families facing dementia across the UK. Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through their Admiral Nurse service.

Watching my Dad go through this horrible illness is truly devastating.

To watch the strong man who has worked so hard all of his life for all of his children to barely know where he is most of the time is unbearable and painful for all the family to go through. We are one of many families hurting daily, not being able to help but just simply be there or at the end of a phone for our dad.

I want to raise as much as possible in hope one day there is a cure and other families don’t have to suffer and watch someone they love go through this confusion & upset daily.

I thank you for reading this and every penny will help so if you can spare a little it will be appreciated so much ❤️
