Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My nephew Jack Chester passed away in September 2010 following a long illness. He had been diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a bone cancer, in February 2008 at the age of 17. Jack never gave up hope that he would recover from this illness. He had most of his treatment at UCHL on the special ward supported by the Teenage Cancer Trust. This ward treats teenagers with cancer in an environment designed specifically for young people, where they are not defined by their illness.
Jack spoke about living with cancer at many fundraising functions on behalf of the Teenage Cancer Trust. His school 'The Campion School' have arranged a 21 mile sponsored walk in his memory, with all monies going to the TCT. This will take place on 30th April, walking from the school in Hornchurch to University College Hospital in London. Many of Jack's family and friends will be walking, and your support would be much appreciated. Many Thanks. Julie xx
