My name is Julie & proud mum to 6 children, my 4th & 5th sons were sadly stillborn at 37 & 34 wks into my pregnancies. Being told your baby has died and you will not be taking them home to join your family is probably one of the hardest things to do ever. To lose your hopes & dreams and a lifetime of happy memories is truly heartbreaking & sadly this happens every single day, 17 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth everyday in the UK. 

Sands are there to support these grieving parents,  to work with health care professionals to improve the care offered to bereaved families. 

Please help this charity, we always think it happens to somebody else, then we become that somebody else! I am training to take part in a ladies pink collar boxing event, 8 wks training culminating in a boxing event on the 3rd of August.  Who would have thought little old me would do this?? This is in memory of my boys Jak who would be 10 this year & Harrison who would be 9, forever missed by all of us, also in memory of the many babies who aren't with us & their families I've met over the past few years xxx
