Story
George Rodd was born 12th December 2009 along with his twin brother Austin. He spent three and a half years getting the most out of the life of a little one and shared most of his experiences with his older brother Oscar.
In Easter 2013, George displayed symptoms of something being amiss - simply being unbalanced on a trampoline. After various doctors appointments an MRI revealed a Golf ball sized tumour at the back of Georges brain.
Despite the best available surgery, George sadly passed away a mere 6 weeks after his initial diagnosis, at only 3 years old.
As a fellow mum it’s been heartbreaking watching them go through this and to know there is nothing you can do to help. So if running each week can help raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity then lets “Run for George” and you never know, I might just get fit in the process!
My aim is to run 10 Kilometers on Friday mornings, a minimum of 10 times over 14 weeks between 3rd January and 4th April 2014 inclusive.
By supporting the Brain Tumour charity, I want to help the 500 children and 4500 adults under 40 years old diagnosed each year.
Help by just sponsoring me £1 per 10km - or more!
Thank you!! x
