Skydive Netheravon 2017 · 10 June 2017 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored me. I met my target which was £1000 as well as it being for such a good cause it was a great day.  I took dad' parachute  regiment beret with me so it did one last jump.

Thank you all once again

Just 2 weeks to go until my jump. Dad not well but we're hoping he'll be there to watch. He's been giving me lots of advice. He did say make sure you're not sick when you jump out the plane because that won't be good 😂

As you are all aware my father has Parkinsons.  It is really hard to see someone who was such a strong, full of life person suffer from this disease. It is a disease that at present has no cure and research is continually taking place. Funding is needed for this research and this is why I am doing my skydive. The medication he is on is now not working and is poisoning his body so we are weaning him off it. Unfortunately there is no other medication to offer him there fore dad is now getting all of the side affects of Parkinsons.

Please , please, please sponsor me to help me raise as much money as possible.

Thank you

I am doing a sky dive in June and fundraising for Parkinsons UK.

My father has Parkinsons and it is so hard to see such a strong and determined man be affected by this disease.

I wanted to do a sky dive as he was in the Parachute Regiment and he always told us stories of when he used to jump out of a plane and how exciting it was. I feel taking part in a sky dive for the disease that he has is a way of linking the two together to help the most important person in my life.

He is determined to come up and watch and obviously give me some last minute advice. Please sponsor me for my sky dive, we would both really appreciate it.
