We are participating in Douglas McMillan’s Midnight to sunrise 10 mile walk on Friday July 1st in memory of our dad Martin Wemyss who passed away at the hospice after a brave battle with cancer in January this year 

Dad spent 10 weeks in the hospice and the care and compassion that both he and us were given was incredible. The staff at the hospice not only provided person centred  care for him but also looked after us both physically and emotionally. Having lost our mum just 12 months prior to our dad we really appreciated the emotional support offered to us including the option of free bereavement counselling 

During dads final weeks the staff at the hospice did all they could to not only care for him but also try and make life as normal as possible, including encouraging him to walk up and down the corridors and more importantly pouring him a night time whiskey 

In his final days we were able to stay in his room with him until he passed away, which was a great comfort to us all

Please spare anything you can to help fund this amazing hospice and allow it to continue to support patients and families alike at their most difficult time
