Story
Hi folks,
It's a tough time so my friends and I wondered what we could do to raise awareness and funds for the Royal Berkshire Hospital (the local hospital to many of my friends and to my parents) and the phenomenal staff there.
This is why I'll be running 10K on 30 May. This will all be in compliance and full respect of the important social distancing and one-exercise-per-day rules and sticking to an achievable and reasonable rather than silly distance so there isn't a risk of going outside my normal capability (I'm extremely lucky to live in the countryside where I can run without seeing a soul). Should lockdown become even more stringent and prevent me from training or doing the charity run, I will do it at the earliest safe opportunity or change to a challenge within the confines of my home (10,000 steps around the living room anyone?!).
Thank you for any support you can offer. I recognise everyone is experiencing incredibly tough times at the moment, so I appreciate any love and support you can give, whether a small financial donation for the Royal Berks NHS Foundation Trust or simply some encouragement and, please remember to help our NHS staff by following the guidelines set out for us. We can beat this together.
