We work closely with the NHS and receive some funding from our NHS partners, but we are not an NHS organisation. The majority of our service’s running costs are funded by you; our supporters. Without your help, we cannot help our patients.
Our charity’s supporters are at the heart of our funding. From corporate partners and community groups, to event fundraisers and regular givers, we are lucky to have a dedicated supporter base helping our service.
Our NHS partners
London Ambulance Service employs and remunerates our charity’s paramedics, who typically join us for one-year secondments.
Barts Health NHS Trust employs and remunerates the registrars, who typically join us for six month secondments, and the consultants who are permanently associated with the service. They also provide direct financial support in the form of a monthly grant and the helipad facilities at The Royal London Hospital required for our operations
It cost approximately £7.4 million (consolidated costs) to provide London with an advanced trauma care service 24 hour a day, 7 days a week, including approx. £3 million on operating and maintaining the helicopters.
Who AM I?
I am firstly and fore mostly a husband and father to my wife Mary and two children Jacob and Emily who have supported me through some of the toughest times imaginable, recently loosing our home and all our belongings, I watched a good friend die in an horrific road traffic accident, after a year living rough, two year years homeless and lots of counselling I found running and my life changed, throughout my journey I've lost almost a third of my body weight, and I speak and run for good causes, I've been fortunate to connect with this wonderful charity and help raise funds so they can continue to provide London and the Surrounding areas with a much needed fast response trauma aircraft, I'll be competing in the 2020 Marathon des Sables to raise these vital funds and bring awareness to the public about the amazing work this wonderful team provide.
Please give what you can and please give generously.
Thank you very much.
