It was my son, Matthew, who thought a sprint triathlon would be a good idea, so, I took on the challenge, entering the Driffield Triathlon. 18th May. I have now completed the event and I feel much better having achieved my goals. Raising money for a great Charity at the same time. The swim was always going to be hard as :-

I had to learn to swim. 

I must Thank Rob Jones at the Beverley Leisure Centre for his patience, Giving me the confidence to be able to complete the swim. By following his guidance, during the swim, in my head I was hearing Rob encouraging me on as he knows how much work I had put in, thankfully I achieved a PB on the day. Raising money whilst doing the event always gives you that additional push, so you do not let anyone down, so a thank you to Marie Curie for their help along the way, Raising money for a very good cause. We all will know a family, who will have had to deal with this situation. Any money raised will go to the Local Marie Curie Nurse's. Thank you for your support. Julian.
