Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I understand how busy we all are and how we are swamped with e-mails and requests, but this really does mean a great deal.
Have you ever lost the most precious thing that one person can lose?
In Wales last year, over 250 children passed away suddenly and often traumatically. That is over 250 sets of parents who lost their son or daughter and had to somehow carry on. If you have ever supported someone through the worst days of their lives you will understand the help that is required to get through those early days.
2 Wish Upon A Star is an ever expanding charity which is presently based in South Wales. It was established back in 2012 in memory of Paul and George Burke.
George was a one year old boy who passed away suddenly and traumatically at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. Five days later the unimaginable happened and his young father Paul died too. He fell to his death from a motorway bridge consumed with grief, shock and guilt.
The charity founded by Rhian Burke aims to support families who experience sudden loss and help them through the most difficult times. Please have a look at www.2wishuponastar.org for more details.
In support of this very special charity I am getting on my bike and cycling 184 km (115 miles) from Miskin to Taunton at the end of May and hope to raise £250. Therefore, I need your donations.
Please, please help me raise my target amount so that, together with another 171 cyclists, I can help this most worthy cause. No parents should have to face the loss of their child alone. We can change that by working together to make a difference.
