Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please have a read of my page.
I am Raising money for Cancer Research Uk, and to raise awareness and raise the profile of the charity and the work they do. Raising money for a good cause, will help find cures and raise money needed to save more lives & early diagnosis.
In 2016 I will be taking on the challenges of the Gloucester City Marathon in August and the 10 peaks challange, completing 36 miles over the Brecon Beacons in 24hrs, in September. Along the way I will be completing the Cardiff Half Marthon and the wolf run, as well as some others, And using a training plan, to get me through.
Sometimes in life you meet people who inspire you to go a little further, go the extra mile, make a difference, so that's what I have decided to do. I have lost some good friends, some special friends and some I never knew or had the privilege to meet, who meant the world to others. This is my way of keeping their memory alive for others, and I'm sure they will be watching me from on high.
In my job I get to meet some wonderful people every day, every month, every year. Some come and go, and others we pass in the street, others stay friends, I get to hear some amazing stories about the people they have lost. Some of the stories are very touching, and very emotional, and make me wish I had met them, most of them sound like they had to fight to get through this, but in the end they lost their battle. So whatever I can do to help raise the awareness, I will do through different challenges, so all I ask is that you sponsor me anyway you can, and help me and others raise the awareness of this cause.
