On Monday 30th October I had a call from the Sue Ryder team offering me a place in the London Marathon, which was the most amazing feeling ever, and that also completed my Three for the London classic. Now all I have to do is train Hard, train sensibly, and stay injury free and enjoy the journey.
My name is Julian Goodwin and I am a Funeral Director in Cheltenham. I have been fund raising for many years now for several charities including supporting my local Sue Ryder Hospice. My job takes me to the hospice on numerous occasions and I have nothing but praise for the work they do.
My goal for 2018 is to push the boundaries of my physical and mental strength, testing my abilities and raising awareness of charities close to my heart.
I have lost family and great friends to cancer, and now I want to try and help with some funding, so my aim for 2018 will be to raise as much as I can for the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice.
I have entered the London Classic, London Marathon, Ride 100, Swim Serpentine, Outlaw Half Ironman in May, Bolton Full Ironman in July, along with other numerous training runs, swims and cycles, Ride for Ryder, triathlons, half marathons, mud runs, night runs.
