Story
As a Committee Member and Publicity Officer for Cats Protection's Haverhill & District Branch, I am challenging myself to a trek to raise funds for the branch.
I was originally signed up for the Nepal Trek and Tiger Conservation Programme. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the trip was postponed and I am no longer able to make the new dates. I have instead transferred onto a 60km trek through the Transylvanian Alps, followed by a visit to the Putna-Vrancea Natural Park to meet representatives of the Biodiversity Conservation Association who are seeking to protect the ecology of the lynx species.
How can my money help my local branch? Here are a few examples...
£2,500 could feed all the cats awaiting their forever homes in an adoption centre for a year.
£500 could pay for a caesarean operation and the recovery of a cat in need.
£150 could provide a full health-check for a cat, including blood tests, neutering, microchipping and inoculations.
£5 could supply 10 days' worth of specialist milk to hand-feed an orphaned kitten
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity. Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.
