Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2016, my colleagues and I raised a staggering £4000 for breastcancer by doing the moonwalk marathon in London. We were so bowled over by the generosity and support of family, friends, neighbours and the community as a whole, that we were inspired to set ourselves a new challenge! At the beginning of May, we are heading off to Scotland to climb the U.K's highest mountain - Ben Nevis! This time our chosen charity is one for the boys - we are supporting Prostate Cancer UK.
Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer in men - 47,000 men are diagnosed with the condition annually. Sadly, each hour, at least 1 man dies as a result of prostrate cancer -making around 1000 unnecessary deaths a year! 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer, with 330,000 living with the condition.
In preparation for our climb, we have joined gyms and exercise classes, we are walking, climbing hills, wearing in our boots, getting fitter - we are doing our best! Please help us achieve our goals & help beat this dreadful cancer! Prostate cancer UK relies on donations to carry out its work to find a way of supporting sufferers and find a way of beating this disease. Thank you in anticipation of your support.
