Three years ago I was out in the countryside, taking in the views. It was a lovely summers evening. As I stood there I heard a meow! At first I thought I’d imagined it but then heard a loud and definite meow!  Looking around I couldn’t see anything, only a thick thorny hedgerow full of nettles. I walked along the dirt path calling into the hedge, until I heard another meow.  Getting into the hedge and digging my hands in deeply I finally saw a pink nose and pulled out a tiny kitten!  He was in a state! I took him to the vet who told me he wouldn’t have lasted the night if I’d not found him! I named him Bramble! For three happy years he filled my life with laughter, love and total craziness. Sadly on the morning of 22nd August 2022, a day after his 3rd birthday he was tragically killed. He has left such a huge hole and my heart is truly broken.  My beautiful boy, my wild, free spirited boy has gone.  I was going to do the 9 mile challenge before the accident but it’s more of a comfort for me now.  Please support my challenge and help cats and kittens in need get back on their paws! www.cats.org.uk/9miles
