I am taking part in a 12km (approx 7 mile) Midnight walk on Saturday 5th June 2010 and raising money for St Helena Hospice who provide care for people with life-limiting illnesses.

My mum unfortunately has an inoperable brain tumour, and both my parents are just beginning to benefit from the care and expertise from St Helena Hospice in the form of counselling and discussion groups. She will undoubtedly need their care in the future as the disease progresses, when they will also be able to provide much needed support for my dad and the rest of the family.

It costs in excess of £5.1 million per year for St Helena Hospice to provide care to patients and their families across North East Essex so please give generously.
