Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I badly broke my leg in December 2010 and have been unable to walk very far ever since. However, I will be 50 on 8/4/2012 and so I am determined to get back to what I love best which is mountain climbing.
I am therefore going to attempt to climb Cnicht (elevation 689 m (2,260 ft) in Snowdonia on my birthday in April. I will be supported by my family and friends who may need to carry me down, but I am determined to get to the top on my own steam.
This is a relatively small mountain near my Walking Club in West Wales (near Porthmadoc) but it will be a massive climb for me as I havent walked off the flat yet, I really need my walking stick to get about and a fall may break the leg again (and it wont be as "easy" to repair).
I have never done any fundraising before but this seems too good a chance to miss so please donate what ever you can to my pain.
All proceeds will go to Tŷ Hafan, a charity that offers comfort, care and support for life-limited children and young people and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the whole family
