Story
COPS provides peer support opportunities and access to counselling services to help surviving family members (‘survivors’) rebuild their shattered lives."Your loss is a part of who you are but COPS helps you realise that it doesn’t define you. We are all one big family."Since its foundation in 2003, COPS has helped hundreds of police families devastated by the loss of a loved one who died on duty.
I am running Paris Marathon it’s my first marathon abroad ! I want to raise 1,000 this time so please be generous I have to say I’m beyond nervous running abroad is so out of my comfort zone !
I have supported Care Of Police Survivors for many years for me this is the charity I will always support they are one of the best and have a special place in my heart .
Having lost our much loved Sgt in Sept 2020 it really brings it home to me how dangerous this job can be even in custody . Police officers face dangerous situations every day they pick up the pieces of peoples lives when they are at their worst moments police officers run towards the danger to protect the public , it’s time to support police now and make sure those that have been lost in the line of duty families are supported both financially and mentally because it’s not only the loss of a loved one it’s the financial implications afterwards . That’s what COPS do they support families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty .not only that they support them as a family to help them come to terms with their loss .
