We raise money to support sick and premature babies

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are going to go on two 10 mile walks within the same week to raise money for families with premature babies. We were born at 29 weeks +1 day, so 11 weeks before we should have been. Thomas was 3lb 3oz and Amy 2lb 10oz, we are twins.

We are now 10 years old and have decided to walk a mile for each of our years. We are lucky as we are miracles and survived our neonatal journey but know not all families are as lucky as us. During this time it was very hard for our parents as they were very worried about us.

Due to visiting restrictions because of Coronavirus it is even more difficult for parents to visit their poorly babies and we would like to make this easier for them.

It costs £173 each week to ensure St George's can provide remote video access to each of the 40 families of babies at the NNU for the next year.
That’s £24.72 per day for the NNU, or 62p per day per baby.
At the moment, with lockdown restrictions, the remote video system is enabling families to check on their baby at the NNU when they are at home.
