Story
Words by Gina Jackson and Victoria Borrie
My wonderful Mummy Juliette passed away on Friday 29th May 2020 with my Father at her side, after a 10 year battle with Cancer. She was 58 years old.
Mummy was one of the kindest, most stylish and selfless person who put everyone’s happiness before her own. She would make sure you were comfortable, had a drink, weren’t hungry. And then she would relax. Before jumping up again to plump a cushion, refill a glass, check the oven and put on a good record. One thing she utterly adored, was visiting the hair salon to get her hair blow-dried. It was one of the biggest joys in her life to make herself always look a million dollars.
She introduced me to many talented artists, designers and musicians that had a huge impact on my life such as David Bailey, Bowie, the Sex Pistols, Fleetwood Mac, Talking Heads, Vincent Van Gogh, Monet, Jackson Pollack, Tracey Emin, Frida Kahlo, Vivienne Westwood, Pam Hogg, Christopher Kane - and of course VOGUE!!!
Never in my lifetime have I endured such heartache and pain - and hope not to go through something like this again for a long time. We will never forget Juliette. She is forever in our hearts and we love her, and despite the fact we miss her terribly, we know she is up there with Grandpa and David Bowie sitting upon a little star in the sky.
In lieu of flowers we are suggesting donations in Mummy's memory. We would like all donations to be made to Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice - where Juliette was looked after so wonderfully by the Nurses during her final couple of weeks. The link to donate can be found on this page.
Anything you can donate will be greatly received by Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.
Thank you all and God bless.
