Story
Our ambulance staff and volunteers really go the extra mile to keep us all safe during challenging times. In the past year this support has been excruciating to watch as ambulances have lined up outside our regional hospitals for totally unrealistic times, meaning many people they strive to care for are not helped or sadly even saved.
As part of this national fundraising mission, I have chosen to run the combined average mileage an ambulance covers each shift from my two nearest stations - Bodmin and Wadebridge - over a 3 month period (to allow for my creaky, Lupus bones!).
Please support me to go the extra mile for them by taking on the 'Outrun an Ambulance' challenge. The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) provides emergency and urgent care across 10,000 square miles, serving over 5.5 million residents and over 20 million visitors each year. SWASFT crews deal with around 2,500 incidents a day across the South West. Your donations will be used to provide enhanced facilities and well-being support for crew and personnel operating from Ambulance Stations in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
