Julee's READATHON Campaign

Julee Johnson's READATHON 2021 · 24 April 2021
I've raised money for the Tompkins County Public Library through the READATHON campaign for several years and I'm back for 2021!
I love my local library and know, as a patron and long-time volunteer, that funding is always tight and is especially limited when times are tough. And that's when our library is needed most, for education, instruction, and enlightenment by people hardest hit by a faltering economy and health crisis. Your support of my effort is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use: putting reading and other materials in the hands of those most in need.
For last year's READATHON I celebrated the Presidential election with a reading of the U.S. Constitution. This year, in honor of the 60th anniversary of the inauguration of our 35th president John F. Kennedy, I will read his inaugural address. Yes, the one that says we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty - and so much more.
I'm grateful for your donation in any amount. You can give safely and securely through this platform, as I have, or send your check - made out to TCPL - to me. To misquote Kennedy, ask not what your library can do for you but what you can do for your library. Thank you!
