Maggie's provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends.   Built in the grounds of NHS hospitals around the country, Maggie's Centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need. The centres are also places to meet other people or simply sit quietly with a cup of tea - round a kitchen table.   Hence #kitchentableday.   

I shall be putting my minimal baking skills to work and digging out my biggest tea pot, so please do come and sit round  my kitchen table on 6 May.   If you can't come, it would be great if you would donate to Maggie's.   I know your money will be well used.
