Against the better judgement of at least one of us, we are planning to climb Ben Nevis on Saturday June 20, 2015. Or more precisely, on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, as we are taking part in the Ben Nevis Midnight Challenge. As we did when we completed the 26.2 miles of the Northumberland Coastal Challenge in 2013, we are fundraising for the Stroke Association in memory of Judith's brother Bill, who died at the age of just 41 after suffering a massive stroke. Our knees now have a combined age of 202, and the chances of us being able to walk to the pub after the event are minimal. But we will try.

The Stroke Association is a very worthy cause, so even if you are simply mildly amused - as we are sure Bill would have been - at the prospect of a pair of fifty-somethings attempting to drag their ageing bodies up and down Britain's highest mountain at night, we would greatly appreciate any donation.

Thanks in advance for your support,

Judith and Damian.
