Although I finished my sponsorship ride for Fledglings I keep pedalling and last year notched up 5000 miles.
If you would like to give Fledglings more money it would be much appreciated. It is good to see the Spartan Racers getting money too!
 

19/03/2012  I finished the 3,000miles on 7th March and have now raised £1,000 -but Fledglings still needs more money - so please give generously. Thanks to all those who have supported me.

21/11/11 I have just reached 2,000 miles!

21/10/11. I've reached 1700 today and I hope to make it 3000 by the end of March ( ie within a year) Please encourage me with donations! Thank you. 

18/07/11 I have started pedalling again today so another 10 miles  has been added to the total. I want to raise more money so I'll keep going a bit longer!

15/07/11 I have completed 1000 miles in 106 days!

5/7/2011 I have completed 890 miles now - should finish before the end of July. Ruth at Fledglings has promised me £40 when I get to the 1000 miles. Thank you Ruth! 

21/06/2011 Just completed 750 miles! Hurray!

24/05/2011 I have passed the halfway mark - 505 miles today!

10/5/2011 I have pedalled 360 miles now! The first five are harder - like going uphill - the second five are varied and more like a bike ride through Cambridgeshire country side! 

30/04/2011 I have completed 250 miles during April - a quarter of the way there despite having a week's break over Easter!

I am cycling 1000 miles on an exercise bike to raise funds for Fledglings - a great charity that finds solutions for the practical problems of disabled children. I am a Trustee of Fledglings and have recommended and supported them for many years.

I started my official cycle on April 1st and  hope to keep going at roughly 10 miles a day! Please encourage me and Fledglings. I would like to raise at least £1 per mile and make £1000 or more. 

Fledglings is a national charity which supports parents and carers of disabled children by finding affordable practical solutions to their difficulties of everyday living. It is a unique and bespoke service which addresses the individual needs of each child and family.  Fledglings helps by sourcing a wide range of special products, assessing their quality, obtaining feedback on their performance from families and by sharing that information with other families via their helpline and newsletter.  By giving more independence to the disabled child, relatives are relieved of caring duties and have more time to themselves. By making it possible for disabled children to swim or to ride they also give greater opportunities for families to live a healthier life and to do more things together as a family.
