Remembering Judith Howard

This is Charlotte Howard, Judith's daughter it is with a heavy heart that I tell you Judith passed away peacefully on the 26th January 2019 after a long and painful struggle with multiple illnesses. In her last few years she was unable to go out without the help of my father Alvin Howard, her amazing carer, Travelling long distances became impossible, much to her frustration, her social media accounts were a great help to her to feel in contact with the outside world
My mother was an extrordinary woman, connoisseur, antiques textiles and fashion expert, collector, interior designer, stylist, writer, photographer, artist, creater of beautiful things.
Mummy was always incredibly stylish, with beautiful hands and manicured talons, she was proud, witty, clever and cynical with a mind like a trap, she didn't suffer fools gladly yet she could be incredibly kind and wise.
I would always turn to her for advice, it may not be what I wanted to hear but she was always right, God damn her!
Right now, when I need her most she has gone, she will leave a massively hole in many people's lives, not least mine and my father's.
The care she received at the ACE Ward of the Royal United Hospital in her last week was incredibly thoughtful, their compassion and attention to detail was extraordinary. Thanks to a Forever Friends donated reclining chair we were able to spend as many hours as we could with her.
Please share your memories of her if you wish to donate and raise a glass to her, she particularly loved champagne
Judith Mary Howard Dip. Hum.
