I have decided to take on this challenge next May so that I can raise money for Sue Ryder, Manorlands Hospice. My friends Debbie and Steph Rampley are also taking on the trek with me and fundraising via JustGiving for the hospice which helped them when Tim, their husband and dad was ill.

Tim was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer in 2011 and continued to maintain an almost normal life, whilst trying numerous treatments, until 2017 when there were no further options available. Tim then became very unwell and sadly passed away on 22nd June 2017.

During Tim's last few months the Hospice supported him and his family by regularly visiting their house, and in his final weeks they provided daily care which made a difficult time a little easier. 

Having seen the care they received I felt I had to do something to raise funds to help my local hospice , Manorlands, support families who also go through this difficult experience. 

Thank you for reading my story and donating. I will be organising lots of events over the next 9 months such as coffee mornings and quizes and will keep this page updated with the details.
