In October 2016 (during breast cancer awareness month) at just 30 years old I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Most people either know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer or have experienced it themselves. I am marching with my family for 2 key reasons:

1. To raise awareness of breast cancer and the fact that it can and does happen to anyone at any stage. For all cancer early detection is key. I want everyone to get to know their bodies and look out for changes, and not be afraid to go to the doctor, and push for that scan - I did. No one is more invested in your health than you.

2. To raise money to fund crucial treatment and research to save lives.

We march for a life and a future beyond cancer.
