Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
At the start of this year, I was diagnosed with a painful Morton's Neuroma in my right foot. I was struggling to walk let alone run, and reluctantly withdrew from the Edinburgh Marathon, running the shortest part of the marathon relay race instead. That in itself was an achievement for me as I genuinely believed that I would struggle to run anything longer than a 5k.
Fast forward a few months and with a trip to the podiatrist to be fitted with an additional orthotic, a lot of frustration, a fair amount of patience and sheer bloody-mindedness, I have entered the Scottish Half Marathon in September. My training is going well, although the foot occasionally reminds me that it needs a wee break from all this running now and again!
I've chosen Cancer Research UK as my charity this year, and would be very very grateful for any small donations. I am acutely aware that I ask for donations to different charities every year, and I know that people are often inundated with requests. If you don't want to or can't donate, I'll completely understand. If you want to and can, that would be absolutely brilliant, and would be hugely appreciated.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
