I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon (13.1miles!) to raise money for All Dogs Matter.

All Dogs Matter is a dog rescue and rehoming charity working in and around London to transform the lives of unwanted and abandoned dogs, also rehoming dogs in need from overseas. They are a small, dedicated team that matches each dog with the right new owner, ensuring that it will be safe, cared for and loved. 

I volunteer as a dog walker at their kennels in Waltham Abbey so I know first hand what a difference this charity makes to both the dogs and their new families. I have also had the pleasure to foster a couple of dogs who were too vulnerable to be in the kennels.  

As you can tell from my cover photo there are no pictures of me in running gear with my thumbs up, medal around my neck, because I have never run a half marathon before but it looks really pretty, jogging around Hyde Park, how hard can it be?!!!!! ..only kidding, I am in training...I shall be updating this page on my training below, and probably posting a lot of pictures of my walking buddies and foster pups. 

To fund their vital work ADM relies on the generosity of supporters. Any amount you can spare will make a big difference to their work.  All Dogs Matter do so much more than rehoming including running educational outreach programmes in schools, believing that education in animal welfare should start as early as possible, leading to a better understanding of how to treat and look after animals.
