Dear folks,

Back in 2010, when I first hand realised how much cancer changes your life, I made the commitment to run five marathons before my 40th birthday. I did not have any special aim beyond giving life and hope…Just four weeks after my mum passed away,  I run my first marathon. Happily, after Berlin´2010, Rome´2011, Edinburgh´2013 and Valencia´2013, this challenge comes to an end in London’2014 .

No goal, fund target, pace or PB this time. Just to help those that face cancer every day: researches, relatives, carers, health personnel but above all the patients.

Allá por 2010, cuando de primera mano conviví con el cáncer, me planteé el desafío de correr cinco maratones antes de cumplir 40 años. No le veía especial sentido - sigo sin verlo - mas allá que, de una forma simbólica, transmitir energía y esperanza…Sólo cuatro semanas después de fallecer mi madre, corría mi primer maratón. Afortunadamente, tras Berlín 2010, Roma 2011, Edimburgo 2013 y Valencia 2013 este desafío llega a su fin con Londres 2014.

Sin objetivo, ritmo o marca esta vez. Solamente ayudar a todos aquellos que de una forma u otra conviven con el cáncer día a día: investigadores, familiares, cuidadores, personal sanitario pero sobre todo por los enfermos.
