Story

I am cycling from London to Chamonix in the last week of August, covering an average of roughly 90 miles a day, staying in B&B's as I go. This is partly in preparation for and to get to Chamonix itself, where I will be doing some mountaineering, but also for the challenge and the adventure of undertaking the trip.

I feel very fortunate to be able to have the time and resources to be able to do this once in a lifetime adventure. I am hoping to follow up the cycle by attempting to climb the Matterhorn, all 4,478m of it, weather permitting.

To help motivate me to slog out long days in the saddle across France, and to give a worthwhile purpose to the adventure, I am looking to raise money for The Princes Trust. This charity aims to help young people who are often in difficult circumstances to break the rut of their situation, giving them practical skills and confidence to find work.

I hope you can make a donation, whatever size.

Many thanks

James
