Story
John Teatheredge was a family man, husband, father, grandad and dedicated lifesaver.
Joining Harwich RNLI at just 17 John went on to volunteer for 44 years saving lives with the charity, becoming second coxswain before his untimely death on Boxing Day 2020 due to complications after surgery.
During those 44 years the volunteers at Harwich RNLI saved 427 lives and rescued countless others in distress. No matter the time of day John would drop everything, leaving his family to help complete strangers in distress.
Being sorely missed by all at Harwich RNLI this memorial fund page has been created to support the next generation of lifesaving at Harwich RNLI.
