Playstack was founded in 2016 with a mission to embrace the diversity of brilliant ideas. We are international: from the UK to Krakow, Helsinki and the US, it's hard to find an event that unites everyone! Running the London 10K for Special Effect has become a tradition at Playstack - this is the fifth year!! This time, we have opened up to our SOs so we have the largest team ever, so far. Martha will run from Finland and Alejandra will join the real-life event with Carmen, Elliot, Jose and Aaron, after having supported us from the public last year. We are committed to raising funds for Special Effect, as, since 2007, they have enabled severely disabled people to play video games with family and friends, and not be left out, with the help of technology. This can hugely benefit mental well-being, self-esteem, quality of life... and much needed FUN! Your fundraising donations will be helping to make a very real difference to some people’s lives, giving them a sense of freedom, independence and… normality. We all have learned that not even the latter should even be given from granted.
