Story
In 2019, world renowned street artist, Banksy, left a poignant message in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.
A mural was painted on the railway bridge outside the Quarter's train station on Vyse Street that highlighted homelessness in Birmingham. On Banksy's Instagram page, a video was uploaded showing a homeless man called Ryan bedding down on a bench as a pair of glowing reindeers lifted him into the starry night.
This year, the JQBID will be raising money for Change into Action, an alternative giving scheme supporting specialist charities and street teams working to change the circumstances of rough sleepers.
Whilst walking this year's JQ Christmas Window Trail, people are prompted to donate, where they can, to this incredibly important organisation with QR codes visible on all 77 of the festive window displays, including the Banksy mural.
