Story
I'm running the London Marathon again this year for the same cause, as the disease hasn't gone away and neither has the hard work the charity puts in to fight such a horrible deterioration of the mind.
We should all be a bit fearful of dementia and want to help progress the developments all dementia charities are making.
The Alzheimer's fight is very much still on so I want to raise money to fund the research in memory of Dickie, who we saw suffer from this disease and also more recently, Hannah's grandmother Audrey, showing how many people really are affected by this illness.
It's not just the people who have the disease but also those around them that are affected. People and relationships change, which is a nasty side effect.
The research Alzheimer's Society are doing is incredible and progress is being made. If you read the news once in a while there's always something to do with how we are inching closer to a cure.
Please give generously as I push my oafish body to the limit!

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
