Story
I've created this page because I want to make a difference and I hope you are able to help me in doing so. I'm inspired by the work of Girl Scouts of America. My journey with the Girl Scouts started when I became a Daisy in 1989 in Boston. I worked hard and started down a path to learn how to empower myself and through activities involving camping, community service, learning first aid, and earning badges by acquiring practical skills, I was able to learn and develop compassion, courage, confidence, character, leadership, entrepreneurship, and active citizenship. Through activities with my troop and during summer camp, I learned many practical skills and made many friends. All young women deserve a chance to develop these important characteristics.
I am supporting the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana by raising money as I train for the 2021 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can by using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Girl Scouts GCNWI, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
