Story
I am dedicating my Journey to my first Ironman to Congenital Hyperinsulinism International because I was given a second chance in life and am giving back through this cause that is very important to my cousin. Her daughter was born with this disease and even at 26 years old, she keeps struggling to maintain normal blood sugars. I also hope that my journey may inspire someone struggling with an issue whether it be drugs/alcohol/anger/depression or just plain needs a kick in the ass to do what they've always wanted to and think they can't, so they don't. Than you for your support!

It has become a tradition for me to dedicate my annual Ironman to raise funds for research and awareness for Congenital Hyperinsulinism Int (CHI). This year’s event will take place In Mont Tremblant on August 18th. Thank you for showing your support!

Join us in raising research funds for new treatments for congenital hyperinsulinism (HI). HI is a life-threatening disorder that causes dangerously low blood sugar levels. Prolonged or severe low blood sugar can cause seizures, brain damage, and even death. New Treatments are needed! Your fundraising dollars will be used for an innovative, pre-clinical or clinical study designed to improve the diagnosis, therapy, or quality of life for those affected by congenital hyperinsulinism. The first $30,000 we raise is matched by the University of Pennsylvania, our partner in funding research. Thanks to all of you, CHI has raised over $381,000 for congenital hyperinsulinism research.
