2010 Bupa Great Manchester Run · 16 May 2010 ·

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

In memory of my Grandad - Mr Victor Fry - who passed away 9th February 2009, I have entered the BUPA Great Manchester 10k Run which takes place on May 16th.  I have pledged to raise a minimum of £250 for Cancer Research but would hope to make around £500, any donation large or small will be appreciated.

As many of you will know, I'm not an accomplished runner so I shall be learning, training and hopefully improving lots over the coming weeks.  On race day I shall be running along side (or somewhat behind) world class athletes and maybe a fundraising celebrity or two - ha!  The event is set to be televised so if you can't support me in person, you could maybe laugh if you catch a sight of me limping along on the BBC.  If you can support me in person, please don't take too many embarassing photo's.... my face is likely to be red enough as it is on the day!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
