Story

1000 mile challenge ...

My aim is to run/walk 1000 miles over the next year. Why? Because I like running, but often lack the motivation to get out and run. With a target to reach then there's motivation, especially so if I can get some of you nice people to sponsor me - that'll motivate me all the more!

Why Josie's Dragonfly Trust? Well, Josie was a bit of a cult figure up here in the North East before she died. She was brave and inspirational as she tackled her problems head on - always smiling. I wanted to support a charity based here in my adopted home of the NE England, I didn't have to search far - as soon as I found the Dragonfly website and saw Josie's smiling face again I remembered her and after reading her story thought that with her love for sports she may have appreciated a physical challenge to raise money for her trust.

Have a look at Josie's Dragonfly Trust's website and see some of the lovely things they do for kids and young people who are living with cancer.

A remarkable charity in memory of a remarkable young lady.
