Story

Annabel passed away on the 14th October. The absolute horror, the crushing panic, the pain, the grief, the utter devastation has been truly unimaginable every single day since.

The loss of Annabel is felt in every breath I take, like a huge, dense, dark, heavy, mass permanently fixed to my chest and throat. I can barely breathe without her. Words cannot express how much I miss Annabel, it’s inconceivable.

Much of my existence since Annabel’s passing has been curled on the sofa, in deep shock, darkness, feeling complete sorrow, distress and hopelessness. I am living a nightmare, intensified so much more over Christmas and New Year.

Desperate to help, friends have suggested doing a challenge, to give me focus, to motivate me to leave the house and to raise money in Annabel’s memory.

Annabel was an incredible child, loved by all who met her. Annabel was my greatest gift and she brought so much intense love, joy and happiness into my life. Our bond was like no other. We enjoyed so many hobbies and fun experiences together. However, one thing Annabel did not enjoy so much was walking far. If Craig or I suggested a long walk, on a weekend, Annabel would have a little grumble. We would often joke about it.

I will be climbing Snowdon, at night, on the 2nd April, together with some incredible friends, to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital in Annabel’s memory.

Annabel would not have wanted to do this challenge, but she would have been so proud of me for attempting it. Annabel was my biggest cheerleader.  I miss her love and enthusiasm so much.  Please support me in raising money in her memory and help leave a greater legacy in Annabel’s name.
