Story
Every year nearly 500 babies need special care from East Surrey Hospital at the very start of their lives. Many are very small, fitting in the palm of your hand. Some need to stay in hospital for months before they are well enough to go home.We are building a brand new unit so they can get the very best care.Help us raise funds for state-of-the-art equipment and better facilities for their families.
Nearly 4 weeks ago Our family happened to unexpectedly need the expertise of this wonderful NHS Hospital and the Neonatal special care unit for our precious beautiful Granddaughter Ava Bree who decided she wanted out at 33 wks and nothing was going to stop her.
I had never really thought a lot about Neonatal units before as I had never know anybody using the facilities until now but now I’ve witnessed it first hand the dedication and care that the staff give and are still giving my Nikki and Dan have been exemplary.
My Daughter Nikki and Ava Bree were cared for amazingly as well as Daddy Dan and at nearly 36 wks she was allowed to go home such an emotional moment for us all, so I want to give something back as I will be forever grateful to them and if it can help others in the same position as our Nik and Dan were then I’m happy. I’m going to run 350 miles from June 2021 until October 2021 and finishing with doing the London Marathon 2021
Please help me to raise essential funds for this unit for it to continue to give that special care in the first few weeks of our little ones life’s for them to grow and be able to move on home where they belong x thank you 🙏 eternally grateful xx
