Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

I’m taking part in Skydive September 2022 to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK and the life changing services they provide to those living with Parkinson’s Disease. Parkinson’s disease is a condition in which parts of the brain become progressively damaged over many years, affecting an individual’s daily life both physically and psychologically.

This charity is close to my heart - my best friend Ella's mum was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2017, as well as my grandad who was diagnosed in 2021 and is now living in a care home. It is not easy living with Parkinson's but they continue to fight the disease every day.

Parkinson’s UK are a fantastic charity who support those in the Parkinson’s community to access advice, information, and find local support groups, whilst also funding new research. I wanted to show my appreciation for this amazing charity and the work they do…and what better way than jumping out of a plane!!

There is still a long way to go, but I hope this will help towards ongoing efforts in making a difference to those affected by Parkinson’s, including Ella's mum and my grandad, and also fund new research, treatments and hopefully find a cure.

Thank you so much for any donations - I am so grateful!
