Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Joshua is just 12 years old and in Year 7 at school in Sheffield. Into football, badminton and street dance, he should be living life to the full with his mates. But in January this year, having been lacking his normal energy for a while, he started vomiting blood, and within 24hrs was diagnosed with leukaemia.
He and his parents have since entered a world that we are all terrified to ever experience ourselves. A world of chemotherapy, lumbar punctures, steroids, platelet and blood counts.
Joshua has lost his hair and the energy to run around with friends and cousins. But he certainly hasn’t lost his kindness, charm and loving, friendly nature.
He is dealing with his illness inspirationally and we, his siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins, want to show him that we are so proud of him. Even though some of us live far away, he is always in our thoughts, and we are here to show our support and love.
So Joshua’s siblings Liam (4), Clare (14) and Hannah (16), and his cousins Helena (12), George (10), Orlagh (6) and Beth (4), will be running the Race for Life on Sunday 21st July in Crystal Palace for Joshua’s chosen charity, The Teenage Cancer Trust. His aunts and uncle, Julie, Rebecca, and Tim will be accompanying / trailing behind and in the lead up we will be organising various other fundraising events.
Please donate and help us reach our target for our super brave Joshua.
Thank you so much xx
